I have to admit, out of all of Marvel's upcoming projects (can I PLEASE get an Agent Carter Season 3, though?) Thor: Love and Thunder was not one that turned my head initially. Well, that was then, and this is now, because director Taika Waititi is evidently making the upcoming film an iconic crossover for the ages.

Screencrush reports that the Guardians of the Galaxy will appear in the new Thor installment. There was no official confirmation on this until today, when Vin Diesel—known to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Groot and in my heart as the babysitter from The Pacifier—revealed in an interview with ComicBook NOW! that the Guardians will be incorporated in Thor: Love and Thunder. He admitted that this “will be very interesting."

You can watch the interview below.

The Guardians' presence is not entirely surprising, considering we saw Thor head off with them at the end of Avengers: Endgame. This means fans can add the beloved group to the already stacked cast, in addition to Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Natalie Portman’s returning Jane Foster as the new Thor. We also know that Christian Bale plays the film's villain, although his exact character has not yet been unveiled.

Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit theaters Nov.  5, 2021. While you wait, see if you can get a perfect score on this Marvel quiz!
