If you weren't a fan of Ed Sheeran's cameo in the seventh season of Game of Thrones, chances are you might not love this news.

New reports are claiming that Green Bay Packers football player Aaron Rodgers is set to appear of the next episode premiering this Sunday, as highlighted by 12up. With just two episodes left of the beloved HBO series, fans surely won't be interested in a celebrity athlete showing up, but it looks like showrunners are really doing everything they can to make this season exactly the opposite of what people want.

Co-founder of Green Bay Packers site CheeseheadTV Aaron Nagler took to Twitter to announce the news.

If this is true, Rodgers won't be the first celebrity cameo this season. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney, along with Silicon Valley's Martin Starr appeared in the Season 8 premiere, "Winterfell." Both met their demise during the scene where Theon Greyjoy rescues his sister Yara. Additionally, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss inserted themselves as Wildlings in the most recent episode, "The Last of the Starks," where Tormund Giantsbane is praising Jon Snow for riding a dragon.

At this point, maybe we should just start coming up with theories regarding what cameos will come next—instead of around the series' plot.
