'Game of Thrones' Theory Argues Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister Should Get Married in Final Season

There is currently an insane amount of fan theories out there about what will happen in the highly anticipated final season of Game of Thrones. But really, is there anything else to do when you’ve been waiting patiently for new episodes for over a year?

The most recent fan theory that has made its rounds on the web is making fans scratch their heads, as it argues Cersei Lannister should get married to Jon Snow. Yes, really.

It’s no secret, in fact it’s kind of the entire premise of the show, that nobody can or even wants to get along. There are far more deaths than there are friendships or romantic relationships. However, it’s also true that humans need to come together in the final season, or they’re all likely to be defeated by the White Walkers. Nearly everyone thinks they’re entitled to the Iron Throne, and the fight amongst humans is going nowhere. So, as the theory posted by International Business Times argues, there’s no other option than to make alliances. This is where Jon and Cersei getting married comes in handy.

With this theory, Jon has two choices. He’s either to marry his aunt, or marry the psychopath who had an incestuous relationship with her brother. He’s really made it in the world.

According to this idea, Jon from the North and Cersei from the South will connect the two parts of the world together, which means Jon would have two different armies to command and win the fight against the White Walkers.

In the end, though, it just does not seem possible at all, as Jon would seemingly never bow down to Cersei, let alone fall in love with her. We'll see if any part of this theory turns remotely true when Thrones returns on April 14.
