'Game of Thrones' Star Lena Headey is Still Rooting for Cersei Lannister

To everyone's dismay, but certainly not to their surprise, the reigning Queen of Westeros is looking to keep that crown on her head.
While everyone believes Cersei Lannister will be dethroned (and hopefully die) during Game of Thrones' final season, the actress behind the character, Lena Headey, is throwing the possibility out there that she keeps her power.
In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live this past Friday, Headey played coy as she was bombarded with questions from the host, who was obviously looking to get some spoilers out of the actress.
When asked if she's rooting for Cersei, Headey responded with a simple response: "Someone has to." She also seemed to take a bit of jokingly offense to Kimmel's assertion her character won't be sitting on the Iron Throne come the season finale.
Headey went on to explain the show finished filming in October and she was the "twelfth one out." Though she assured she wasn't revealing anything by saying that, it's easy to presume Heady meant she was the twelfth actor finished out of the approximate 15 main roles left on the show, including the likes of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.
If she was the twelfth actor finished, it likely means she was filming until the last wrap date. However, we know the show doesn't necessarily film scenes in order.
Will Cersei retain the Throne? Well, it wouldn't be the happy ending we prefer, but as we've all learned, the showrunners don't really care for putting smiles on viewers' faces.
