Jon Snow might’ve gotten the short end of the stick in the final season of Game of Thrones, but the actor who brought him to life, Kit Harington, is the only member of the cast to walk away with a Golden Globe nomination this year.

GoT fans are reeling this morning after the prestigious award show announced that the HBO series is walking away with only one nomination for its controversial eighth season. Harington received a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series -- Drama, and while he did do a phenomenal job, many are upset that he is the only one receiving the honor with so many of his co-stars giving such stellar performances.

But at the same time, fans and critics alike were beyond disappointed with the quality of the final season, especially with decisions made by creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff. The divisive season earned the series the lowest episode rating in its history, and prompted over a million fans to sign a petition asking for the season to be re-written with “competent writers.”

Despite the criticism, it seems that the GoT fandom wants it both ways; maybe the unspoken rule is that fans are allowed to drag the final season of the beloved series, but the Golden Globes should still bend the knee.
