'Game of Thrones' Latest Episode 'The Long Night' Becomes Most Tweeted About in TV History
By Olivia Montine

In an update that surprises no one, Game of Thrones' latest episode has become the most tweeted about scripted television episode in history.
According to Variety, Season 8 Episode 3, titled "The Long Night", spurred the creation of 7.8 million tweets--which isn't surprising, given that the episode contained the ridiculously anticipated Battle of Winterfell and Arya Stark's shining moment.
The previous title-holder for most tweeted episode of all time was none other than the premiere of the final season on April 14. In total, there have been 52 million tweets about Game of Thrones in 2019 alone--and we haven't even gotten to the series finale yet.
Some of the most popular tweets about last night's episode included one from the New York Jets announcing Arya Stark as their draft pick.

Some tweets included memes from other major franchises, including the recent release of Avengers: Endgame, giving us all the crossovers we never knew we needed.
