Game of Thrones fans know actor Paul Kaye as Thoros of Myr, Beric Dondarrion's right-hand man and member of the Brotherhood Without Banners. But oddly enough, the Englishman has never seen himself as Thoros, and likely never will.

Metro UK reports that The Sunday Show star recently sat down for an interview with The Mirror and revealed that he was basically as rare as a unicorn, because not only has he never watched himself in GoT, but he has never seen a single episode. Ever.

“I’ve still never seen Game of Thrones so that works for me,” Kaye stated, adding, “I don’t watch myself. I did for [2017 three-part mini-series] Three Girls because I met the father I was playing and it broke my heart, so I didn’t want to f**k it up.”

Though he has never seen the zeitgeist HBO series, he did (sort of) learn a thing or two by being a part of it. Kaye explained he is often asked to record something celebratory for fans, and when he does, he sends messages worthy of a Khaleesi. He continued:

“I’ve learnt a bit of Dothraki and that’s my new party trick – I haven’t got a clue what it means. It’s a few lines I can say, but I send it to everyone I record a message for and pretend it means happy birthday, or have a great wedding, or whatever.”

While it is hard to believe Kaye has never seen an episode, I guess he ultimately saved himself from being disappointed with the ending like so many GoT fans.
