Attention Game of Thrones fans: A familiar face might be returning to our TV screens. Kristofer Hivju, who played Tormund Giantsbane, the rowdy wildling from the HBO fantasy series, has reportedly joined the cast of Netflix's The Witcher for Season 2.

CBR reports that fansite Redanian Intelligence says Hivju will be playing Nivellen from the short story "A Grain of Truth." It's said his name will be shortened to "Nigel," including his character bio as follows:

"Nigel or Nivellen is described as a charismatic, witty and funny man. He’s from an aristocratic family and has been cursed for the crimes he has committed in the past. The role is described as physically demanding with a requirement for a great emotional range."

Other Game of Thrones cast members are branching out to new roles, as well. Nathalie Emmanuel, who played Daenerys Targaryen's interpreter and close friend Missandei, has joined the cast of an upcoming Quibi project called Die Hart, alongside Kevin Hart. The Queen in the North, Sophie Turner, will also be starring in a Quibi series called Survive.

While The Witcher won't be quite the same as seeing Tormund Giantsbane charging around The North, we're still excited to see Hivju in a new role. The second season of the Netflix fan-favorite does not have a release date yet.
