The jury is in, and it looks like Neil Shipperley is getting off easy.

Major controversy arose when the former Crystal Palace footballer exposed himself and masturbated in his van in front of a mother and her teenage daughter. This serious offense led to a court hearing on Wednesday, according to SkySports, where he was sentenced to complete a 12-month community order, along with 20 days in rehab.

Shipperley will also complete 120 hours of unpaid work and will pay £90 in victim charges, £85 in costs, and £200 in compensation.

According to Prosecutor Shaan Sethi at the hearing, the former Chelsea player drove up to the mother and daughter, winding down his window and stopping the car. When they went to speak to Shipperley, "they then noticed he was holding his penis in his hand and staring directly at them." When the two walked away, he reportedly followed with his car.

Shipperley reportedly apologized when seeing the pair at the police station and later pleaded guilty.
