First Official Teaser for HBO's 'Watchmen' is Here

One of HBO's upcoming series is set to be an adaptation of DC's Watchmen, and as fans patiently wait for its release sometime this year, we've just been blessed with the first official trailer. And it honestly doesn't disappoint. In typical HBO series fashion, Watchmen looks like it will follow a similar pattern of defying TV standards, all while making your heart race. The teaser features someone counting down "tick tock, tick tock" over and over again, setting the tone for the show.

Everything about the show seems to revolve around time, and what will happen when it runs out. The Watchmen comic book series follows a group of superheroes who the world has viewed as outlaws. The new TV series has Damon Lindelof serving as the executive producer.

So far, the impressive cast includes Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Jean Smart, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, among others.

Hopefully, when Game of Thrones ends, Watchmen will be the next show we can obsess over. The exact release date is not known yet.
