False article sparks break up rumors for Kate Middleton and Prince William

Rumors that the royal couple, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, split began making the rounds on Wednesday, May 18, due to an MSN article, which has since been deleted.

The article alleged that Prince William and Kate Middleton have separated and the Duchess of Cambridge moved out of their home with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

However,  did some digging into the story once MSN published their piece and reports that a French website called Oh My Mag also claimed the marriage was over. The website's publisher confirmed this to , saying in a statement via a spokesperson, "This story is indeed false and has been published by accident. We are taking it down momentarily."

It's unclear if Oh My Mag was the very first to report this false breakup news, but either way MSN seems to have published a version of their story translated into English in addition to spreading the news on Twitter, however, they've also since deleted the tweet. Regardless, social media users were too quick for the site and managed to grab a screenshot:
