It seems like at every chance the Duke and Duchess of Sussex get, they break a few royal traditions. As arguably the most modern royal couple yet, they have continued to surprise people all over the world.

So the birth of their first child expected this spring should be no different. Since the couple announced they were pregnant, people have been speculating all sorts of things surrounding the royal baby, for example what its name will be, its gender, what sort of maternity clothes Meghan will wear, where will the baby be born, and the list goes on. In a couple of weeks, the couple will be moving to Frogmore Cottage as they finish up plans for the baby, which will include a natural delivery, an acupuncture treatment for Meghan, and learning a birthing technique called hypnobirthing.

What is hypnobirthing?

Reports claim the Duchess is learning hypnobirthing, which left many scratching their heads. According to Tommy's.org, this process involves deep breathing and mindfulness to relieve pain during labor. Meghan has also hired a doula, which is someone who assists before and during birth. Apparently, she is the first royal in centuries to use one.

Vanity Fair has reported that Meghan has consulted acupuncturist-to-the-stars Ross Barr to assist the couple with the birth.

“Meghan has been having regular acupuncture sessions to help her unwind and relax. It’s brilliant for the blood circulation and boosting blood flow to the uterus. She plans to use acupuncture right up to her due date,” says a source close to Barr.

Throughout her pregnancy, Meghan has been very active and has attended many engagements. We're hopeful when it's time to get ready to give birth, she'll relax and slow down.
