'Episode IX' Panel With JJ Abrams Confirmed for Star Wars Celebration Chicago
By Hannah Wigandt

Despite Lucasfilm not revealing anything about Star Wars: Episode IX, besides a release date, it has been confirmed there will be panel dedicated to the upcoming film during Star Wars Celebration Chicago next month. While JJ Abrams wraps up the Skywalker Saga, fans are still left in the dark, but hopefully that's about to change.
Thanks to news of the panel, fans are hypothesizing that the trailer for Episode IX will drop in April. Both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi debuted teasers at their respective panels, so why would Episode IX be any different?
The Twitter account for Star Wars Celebration confirmed the panel and set the date for April 12. So far, only director JJ Abrams is slated to appear, although it was also recently reported Oscar Isaac would attend the event.

As far as we know, the Episode IX panel could follow the pattern that previous Star Wars films have gone through. This means fans could possibly be treated to the film's title, a teaser trailer, and the first glimpses of the movie posters.
In the meantime, Lucasfilm is doing a great job of keeping everything secret and revealing nothing about the film, which debuts on Dec. 20, 2019, to fans. The hype is real.
