Stars of the dramatic comedy The Great starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult celebrated the happy news, on social media, that their highly-addictive and critically acclaimed Catherine the Great dramedy has been renewed for season 3 by Hulu.

The announcement was made on Tuesday during Disney’s Television Critics Association winter press tour session.

Elle Fanning (Maleficent) stars as Catherine the Great, the longest-reigning female ruler in Russia’s history, in a "playfully loose take on history".

The second season currently sports a 100 percent freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is nominated for three Critics Choice Awards. The series also stars Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge, Sacha Dhawan, Bayo Gbadamosi, and Belinda Bromilow.

The second season, which debuted just in November, saw Catherine taking the Russian throne and followed her struggles to bring "enlightenment" to the country. If you've not watched the latest season, make sure to catch up on the 10 episodes available to stream on Hulu.
