Following actor Luke Perry's death on March 4, his co-stars on Riverdale have been mourning the loss of their beloved friend.

One of the stars' brothers, Cole Sprouse's twin Dylan, provided insight into just how hard this loss has hit the cast of the show when he spoke to Us Weekly at the opening of Hudson Yards in New York City on March 14.

“All I’ll say about that, not being as close with the entire cast, [is that] I think everyone is expectedly pretty damaged about it,” Sprouse stated. “He was an electric soul, and even [in] the short amount of time that I met him, he had a big impact.”

Perry died after suffering a massive stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks, California. He then passed last Monday as a result of the stroke, surrounded by friends and family.

Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead Jones on the show, previously commented on the death of his co-star.

“It’s obviously not the easiest thing to talk about," the 26-year-old star said. "But he was well-loved and there’s been an outpouring of emotional support from people around the world, which just goes to show what a wonderful person he was and how much he impacted people’s lives and impacted our lives. But I know that his family has requested privacy during this period and I respect that quite a bit.”

Our thoughts are with the cast during this difficult time.
