Dwayne 'The Rock'Johnson to receive People's Champion Award

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who recently starred in Netflix's Red Notice - alongside Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot and Deadpool's Ryan Reynolds - was humbled to receive the People's Champion Award 2021, on Friday, Nov. 27.

The 49-year-old actor - who voices Super-Man's super-dog, Krypto in the upcoming animated movie, DC's League of Super Pets (2022) - was announced as the receiver of the award on Friday, and the Teremana tequila founder made sure to inform his 280 million Instagram followers just how "humbled and moved" he is to receive this "honor".

Taking to his social media, the Moana actor began his message, "Man this is unreal. Humbled and moved to receive the PEOPLE’S CHAMP AWARD from you, THE PEOPLE."

He further added, "I’ve been gratefully nominated 15X for @peopleschoice awards throughout my career ~ I can say this is the most special because of what it actually represents, which is an idea that will always be much bigger than me ?? Taking care of people. Love you guys and this award will be TRULY my honor to accept.
