Dove Cameron Hits Back at Body-Shamers After Going Braless for Instagram

Dove Cameron is not about to let anyone criticize her for her body or wardrobe.

The 23-year-old Disney Channel star took to Instagram this week to share two gorgeous selfies wearing a white tank top and no bra. The point of the posts was to show off her sense of liberation as a woman, and Dove added quotes from the book Singing Woman: Voices of the Sacred Feminine by Elizabeth Eiler in her captions, according to Yahoo! Lifestyle.

Of course, Dove's choice to not wear a bra unfortunately sparked controversy in the comments sections, especially considering many of her fans are young people. She faced remarks such as, "You're not a role model. You're exactly what I don't want my daughters to become," and "No bra is NOT CLASSY!!!"

Well, Dove has seen the response and has been replying to various comments on the topic. In one instance, the star told someone not to "hide your natural body," adding that "people are weird."
