Is it too soon for the beloved Harry Potter series to get a reboot or even a television spinoff? While some fans will only ever be passionate about the original movies, others are thirsty for more of The Chosen One. Including one unlikely person: Daniel Radcliffe.

Considering all the news surrounding him while he promotes his new show Miracle Workers, including how he had to turn to alcohol to cope with being the famous wizard, we're wondering why Radcliffe has been recently speaking about a reboot or television spinoff for the series. But the series that Radcliffe envisions wouldn't involve his character at all, but instead his parents.

In an interview with TV Guide, Radcliffe shared his thoughts on a possible spinoff. "I feel like there are other stories from that world that you could absolutely turn into a TV series, 100 percent," he said. "A series with the older generation, that could be very cool."

Imagine a series about Harry's parents and their friends, including Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew, to name a few.

The series could explore the groups of friends and how they came to make the Marauders Map. Marauder means raider, so maybe the series could follow the group in their mischief? Their own motto was "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good," and they used the map to escape professors and enemies.

The show could also explore Lupin getting bit by a werewolf and his friends sticking by him, and then turning into Animagi.

The ideas are endless for this possible show to explore, and it would be wildly interesting to look into the life of the parents who brought us The Boy Who Lived. Who doesn't want to see what these characters got themselves into in their youth?

As for a Harry Potter reboot, Radcliffe agrees with fans that the movies are kind of untouchable, although he did admit it's inevitable.

"At the moment those films have sort of a sacred varnish on them, but that will be worn away at some point," he stated. "I'm just intrigued to see when that happens."
