Concept Art Reveals We Almost Got to See a Baby Thanos in 'Avengers: Endgame'

The world has been oohing and awing over the Star Wars universe’s Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian, but it turns out that Marvel Studios almost introduced a little tike of their own in Avengers: Endgame.
CBR reports that the book Art of Avengers: Endgame was recently released, and in it are early concept drawings of a baby Thanos (Josh Brolin). Apparently, filmmakers had originally planned to include more of the villain’s origin story into the movie. The first specs included his birth, his run-in with bullies as an awkward seven-foot-tall teenager, and his eventual slip into darkness.

As it is described in the book, Thanos watched from a nearby moon as his planet was destroyed by over-population. This traumatic event was the root of his motivation for combating the same issue from arising on other planets.
As you know, much of this backstory was eventually cut and replaced with just a few lines of dialogue. While this was probably the best choice, as the film was already very long, it would have been nice to see the complexity of the character. Understanding Thanos more as a bullied outcast might have provoked more sympathy for him overall.
Plus, he is pretty darn cute as a little lavender baby!
