If you remember Cole Sprouse from his days before Riverdale, you probably think of the Disney Channel show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and/or the 1999 Adam Sandler film Big Daddy. However, do you remember that Cole appeared on beloved sitcom Friends way back when? That's right, he played Ross Geller's son.

In the series, Ross' son Ben basically disappears after Season 8, without any real explanation. Although he is mentioned a few times following, Cole was never seen again. There have been various fan theories as to what happened to the child, with one of the biggest being that Ross lost custody. Well, now Cole himself is weighing in, and his idea is way darker than we were imagining.

For an episode of GQ's "Actually Me" published last week, Cole responded to comments on the internet from an undercover account and covered a plethora of topics, including his role in Friends.

When asked how it felt to be basically killed of Friends, Cole wrote, "Critics would agree that Ross was never really the most present father, and so it doesn't surprise me much." While we're not sure if this is how Cole really feels about his character, now we can't stop thinking about the possibility Ben died. This is too sad to fathom, really. The only thing that will console us is rewatching Friends for the millionth time.
