Riverdale's resident omniscient narrator, and writer, of what seems to be a never-ending novel, Cole Sprouse - or better known in the series as Jughead Jones - has just shared some fantastic news with his 35.1M Instagram followers!

The 28-year-old actor uploaded a "shameless" promotional screen grab of an article published on DEADLINE, announcing his starring role in HBO MAX's "Moonshot" - described by the publication as "a romantic comedy with a sci-fi twist." Location tagged as "Shamless Promotion PR", the former star of Sweet Life of Zack & Cody shared his excitement for the project, jokingly writing:

"I’m the last person you want to be trapped on a spacecraft with. The timeless @lanacondor and I are making a movie on mars...or at least Atlanta. Very excited to be working with #christopherwinterbauer , @sarahsowitty , @gberlanti , and @hbomax Lots in the works for 2021 ?"

According to the DEADLINE article, Cole will be starring alongside, To All the Boys I've Loved Before's, Lana Condor.

When is HBO MAX's 'Moonshot' out?

Cole's announcement that he'll be joining the cast of HBO MAX's Moonshot is the most recent update for the film, since Lana Condor's announcement, in June 2020, that she will be joining the lead cast as "focused and buttoned-up college student, Sophie".

Currently IMDB doesn't have an official release date for the film, but stay tuned for any future updates!
