Chris Hemsworth is best known as the crazy buff and absolutely lovable Thor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and though it would be difficult to imagine him playing another fantastical role in an equally as big, if not bigger, franchise such as Star Wars, Hemsworth says he is up for the challenge.

ComicBook.com reports that the 36-year-old actor was asked at ACE Comic Con Midwest this week if he would like to be part of the Star Wars universe. The Australian actor let his inner fan-girl slip out when he replied excitedly:

“Oh yeah, I'd love to. I’m not sure there's many people that'd say they wouldn't want to be a part of that world, you know and especially having it be something I've grown up with like all of us here, probably, it'd be like a fan experience as opposed to being an actor and that's the fun thing at this point of cinema and my career.”

As ComicBook.com points out, Hemsworth has been involved in other big franchises beside the MCU’s Avengers and Thor films; he also starred in Men in Black: International this year, as well as in the Ghostbusters remake in 2016. However, acting in a Star Wars film would basically be the only franchise comparable in popularity to that of his hammer-swinging MCU character.

Maybe Hemsworth’s childhood dream will come true and we will see him fighting against the Dark Side of the Force in the future. Let's be honest, he is just too adorable to rock a black cloak and red lightsaber.
