Chris Brown Breaks Silence on Rape Allegations After Being Detained in Paris
By Natalie Zamora

Chris Brown has taken to social media to deny the serious allegations made against him.
Reports started coming out late yesterday that Brown was being detained in Paris, France on possible charges of aggravated rape and drug infractions. The woman who filed the complaint reportedly claimed she met the singer and his friends on the night of Jan. 15 at a club, and they all went to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel together afterwards. ABC News reports today Brown and two other people have now been released, but the investigation is ongoing.
Taking to his Instagram page this afternoon, Brown shared an image of an incredibly offensive message reading, "This b!tch lyin'" in capital letters. Along with the photo is a lengthy caption, in which the singer gives an angry defense. "I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR...... THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP!," he began.
Brown continued, bringing up the females in his life and insinuating the accusations go against his "character and morals." Many would disagree with this statement, as since pleading guilty to physically assaulting Rihanna in 2009, the singer has been involved in multiple run-ins with the law. His next very public relationship with Karrueche Tran ended similarly, as the actress was forced to get a restraining order against Brown after fearing for her safety.
Other arrests over the years for Brown include a battery charge in 2018 involving a nightclub photographer, misdemeanor assault for hitting a man outside of a hotel in 2013, and a hit and run in 2013, among multiple other instances.
While the current allegations against Brown are incredibly terrible, many friends and fellow artists are standing by his side, as proven true by the comments section for his most recent post.
