'Celebrity Big Brother's Joey Lawrence Weighs in on His Experience Following His Eviction

On Saturday night’s episode of CBS’ Celebrity Big Brother, Joey Lawrence was evicted by a unanimous 6-0 vote over Kandi Burruss. Lawrence admitted to the reality television show's host, Julie Chen, that he wasn’t at all surprised by the outcome, according to Gold Derby.

“I didn’t know this game that well,” he explained. “This has been an amazing ride [but] I didn’t really know what I was signing up for. My oldest daughter was like, ‘Dad, you gotta do it so we can watch you on TV!'”

Though Lawrence felt “very insecure” and “self-conscious” at the beginning of the show, his experiences helped him “break through some of that.”

While Lawrence seemed calm about being voted off, he went off when Chen brought up Lolo Jones, who he almost made an alliance with.

“She burns hot, that one,” Lawrence said about Jones. “Don’t look at her too long, man, she gets mad at you. You stare one second too long, ‘Why are you looking at me like that? Joey, can I have a word with you? Be a real man!’ I’m like, whoa, wait a second, I was just trying to put my laundry in my bag!”

While Lolo’s passion might make her a great Olympian, he warned that, “you gotta keep your distance.”

On Sunday night, Joey uploaded a video to Instagram, seemingly excited to be done with the show, but fans can’t know for sure as the sound was muted in the 42-year-old star's post.

Lawrence became quick friends with swimmer Ryan Lochte, who was evicted early on in the show. Lawrence said the others in the house judged him and Lochte, "as a threat from day one. I guess [because of our] physicality. Although with a lot of these challenges, me being in shape was basically useless, it doesn’t matter."
