'Birds of Prey' Teaser Trailer Shows First Look at Main Characters

DC's Birds of Prey: (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is bringing a rumored R-rated girl gang movie to the comic book genre for the first time. Fans have already been privy to the female superheroes in the film, including Black Canary, The Huntress, Detective Renee Montoya, Batgirl Cassandra Cain, and, of course, Harley Quinn, through various comics.
A new Birds of Prey teaser, which debuted on Monday, provides fans with a first look at a few of these characters.
In addition to shots of Harley Quinn with her signature mallet in hand, the teaser offers frustratingly brief looks at Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress and Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary.
On top of the girl gang, the teaser also shows us Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz and Ewan McGregor as the Black Mask.
Robbie also returned to Instagram on Monday to share a snapshot of one of Harley's new looks.
The teaser, which is titled "See you Soon," suggests that fans can expect an even closer look into upcoming film sometime in the near future. Hopefully a full trailer isn't too far away.
Birds of Prey is the first DC movie to enter production after Aquaman, which recently became the highest-grossing DC Comics movie ever at the box office. With that kind of steam, we can't wait to see what's in store for Harley and her gang when the film is released in theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
