Billie Eilish Granted Restraining Order After Fan Shows Up at Her Home Multiple Times

Billie Eilish is having a time of it keeping bad guys off her property.
According to E! News, the singer was granted a restraining order this week against an individual named Prenell Rousseau who reportedly showed up at Eilish's residence uninvited a total of seven times. A judge has awarded Eilish and her parents a temporary restraining order that will force Rousseau to stay 200 yards away from the her and her family members, and cease all contact with them immediately.
Billie's brother, singer and songwriter Finneas O'Connell, was not on the restraining order request. "While we waited for security, Mr. Rousseau remained on our porch, sat down and began to read a book, while also continuing to engage in a periodic monologue," Billie alleged in legal documents obtained by TMZ. "My father repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused." TMZ reports that the trespasser started showing up on the singer's property last Monday.

Like many people right now, Billie is adhering to social distancing and quarantining with her family, but she alleges that Rousseau was exhibiting "erratic behavior," was not wearing a mask on five of those seven visits, and was not wearing gloves when he approached her home. According to E! News, police department records show that Prenell was arrested on May 5 for trespassing and was released the next day.
Since trespassing is considered a non-violent offense, police have been trying to keep non-violent offenders out of jail due to COVID-19, which led to Rousseau's release from custody. Even though Billie and her family have a restraining order in place, hopefully the problem will stop and she can go back to peacefully quarantining with her family and performing from home.
