Beyonce makes surprise appearance at BFI London Film Festival with Jay Z

Queen bee Beyonce Knowles, 40, thrilled fans last night at the BFI London Film Festival when she made a surprise appearance with husband, Jay Z, 51.

The iconic couple attended the premiere if Idris Elba and Regina King’s movie The Harder They Fall, a Netflix Western directed by Jeymes Samuel.

The Crazy In Love singer was a vision in black as she donned a velvet strapless gown with a dramatic bust for the event, while rapper hubby Jay Z looked dapper in a tailored black tuxedo and bow tie. Beyonce shared a series of photos of her and Jay in the car on the way to the event, laying her head on his shoulder before they posed up for photographers on the red carpet. The Harder They Fall, is based on real-life figures from American history, following an outlaw who reunited his gang to seek revenge on his enemy after finding out he is being released from prison. Jay Z serves as a producer on the film, and says he wanted to be involved in the project to see black people represented in a western.
