In case you couldn’t tell by the lack of post-credits scenes in Avengers: Endgame, there are not any Avengers films on the docket for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While many members of the cast are already slated for other films for their individual characters or are scheduled to star in a television show on the new streaming service Disney+, the Avengers seem to be stepping away for now. And so are the Russo brothers, the famed Marvel directors behind Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

“It’s our Endgame, at least for now,” Anthony Russo confirmed in an interview with GamesRadar+. “We don’t have any plans for now to make any more Marvel movies. It certainly may come up in the future at some point. We have a wonderful working relationship with [Marvel Studios] and a great passion for what they’re doing.”

The brothers have reportedly said in the past that they would be interested in returning to the MCU for an adaption of Secret Wars, but as of right now they seem to be moving on to other projects. One of these includes the film Cherry starring Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, about a PTSD war veteran who begins robbing banks.

No matter what these talented directors move onto next, we’re sure they’ll be successful.
