Duo Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors behind Avengers: Infinity War, have returned to the MCU to helm the upcoming Avengers: Endgame. Joe has made multiple cameos in past films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as a doctor operating on Nick Fury in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and again as a psychiatrist in Captain America: Civil War. However, in his latest directing endeavor, Joe is passing off the baton of cameos to his daughter, Ava.

"This is my daughter, Ava, who's actually playing a secret role in Avengers: Endgame," Comicbook.com reports Joe said during the red carpet for Captain Marvel. "We're not talking about what it is yet. That's it and that's all you're going to know."

In keeping with the true style of the Marvel Universe, that's all Russo revealed about his daughter's cameo. However, many fans took the opportunity to run with the announcement and have come up with lots of theories on their own.

Many fans think she will play the daughter of Hawkeye/Clint Barton, Lila Barton. While this is entirely possible, fans are also wondering whether she will be playing his daughter before or after Thanos' Snap. This could mean that Russo is in the scene in a flashback, hinting at some trauma for Hawkeye.

Regardless of whether or not this theory is correct, we're excited to see how it all plays out when Endgame hits theaters April 26.
