At this point, Avengers: Endgame is just running up the scoreboard on all past superhero films. The records and accomplishments the movie has achieved in less than 24 hours is mindblowing.

The film is easily expected to achieve a $300 million-plus North American debut, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Worldwide, Endgame has already garnered $365 million, and this is all before the weekend even begins.

And if you think those numbers are insane for a film that a majority of fans still haven't even seen yet, how about the fact that the movie is already, as of this writing, the second-ranked film on IMDb's Top 250 list?

The only film ahead of the Marvel blockbuster currently is The Shawshank Redemption. Following it are The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, and DC's The Dark Knight. Pretty good company!

However, even the most diehard MCU adherents would admit that Endgame is too high on the list. Or at the very least, too high for a film that isn't even a day-old in the U.S.

However, this ranking likely won't last. It's fairly common for the most recent films of major franchises to sneak their way on the Top 250 list immediately after their release, but only for a short amount of time before it's removed. Yet considering the outstanding reviews Endgame has received thus far, we wouldn't be too shocked if it remains somewhere in the top 100.
