Author Zara Libson is Coming for Ariana Grande by Saying She's Not a Songwriter

Author Zara Libson has poked the bear with her thoughts about Ariana Grande’s songwriting skills, Popbuzz reports.
The Fake Plastic Girl writer took to Twitter this week to express how she really feels about the comparison between Grande and Taylor Swift. She posted a picture of a long note along with the caption, “Agree or disagree, but I really needed to say this. Every now and then you just gotta speak your truth, ya know?”

In the rant, Libson explains, “When people say ‘we shouldn't compare Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift because that's just pitting women against each other’ - well, I disagree. The reason we maybe shouldn't compare them is because only one is a songwriter. It's offensive to Taylor Swift to even put them in the same category.”
She continues saying that Swift is a “poet” and “a creator”, while Grande is “a cartoon and a creation. She is not a songwriter.”
Needless to say, Arianators are livid, commenting and defending Grande with a vengeance.

Grande herself even took the time to subtly respond to Libson’s accusations. The Sweetener singer tweeted a screenshot of a text conversation in which she says, “I know we have shit to do/ but one day/ we should do something titled/ break up w your girlfriend I’m bored,” proving that she wrote the title for the hit before even stepping into the studio.
She also posted a video of her voice notes in which we can hear an early version of Breathin’.
so many memories cool in my voice notes. however.... why did we call this first take of breathin’ “ball slapper”? #professionalism #songwriting #wewonagrammyafterthis???? i- @Savan_Kotecha pic.twitter.com/PMCJ7ouj2Y

Not that she needed to prove it, but Grande’s Tweets, along with the rest of her army, easily shut down Libson.
