Ariana Grande Reportedly No Longer Performing at Grammys After Drama With Producers
By Jennifer Fabiano

Ariana Grande, who is nominated for two awards at the ceremony this year, will reportedly no longer be performing at or attending the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. According to Hits, Ariana pulled out of the Feb. 10 show due to a disagreement with Grammy producers over which songs she would perform.
The last minute switch is a bit awkward, not only because Ari had been featured on billboards around Los Angeles promoting the event, but also because the singer was nominated for both Best Pop Vocal Performance for "God Is a Woman" and Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener.
An insider told Variety that Ariana felt “insulted” after producers refused to let her perform "7 Rings," her newest single from her album Thank U, Next, which will drop Friday. The producers reportedly eventually agreed to let Grande sing the song, but she pulled out of the agreement after producers insisted the second song of her performance be of their choosing.
As news hit that Ariana is pulling out of the show, Lady Gaga was announced to be performing. Gaga is nominated for five awards this year, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for "Shallow" from A Star Is Born.
The Grammys not only lost an incredible act with Ari, but one of the most successful artists of the moment. The 25-year-old singer's Thank U, Next will be the second full-length album she releases in less than six months, and she smashed Spotify records with songs "Thank U, Next" and "7 Rings." The friendship anthem broke the streaming service’s record for most plays within a 24-hour period at almost 15 million.
We wish we’d get to see Ariana perform exactly how she pleases, because that’s when her work really shines. At the end of the day, it’s really The Recording Academy's loss.
