Ariana Grande Makes History as Headliner for 2019 Coachella

Without much warning, Coachella, one of the biggest music festivals in the U.S., dropped their 2019 lineup Wednesday night. Per usual, tons flocked to social media to weigh in on the musical acts, with many finding the lineup exciting and worth buying tickets for. The three headliners have garnered a lot of chatter especially, as Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande have been appointed to lead the festival.

It goes without saying that Arianators are thrilled at this opportunity for their favorite singer. Ariana herself has addressed the news on social, both sharing the lineup and tweeting, "humbled and excited as all hell @coachella thank u."

And apart from it being super exciting for the 25-year-old pop star, her headlining actually makes history. The 2019 festival will see the fourth ever female artist as a headliner at Coachella, and Ariana will also become the youngest female ever to make their top billing.

Ariana follows Björk, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé as female headliners at Coachella. Although this is extremely too small of a list, we're so happy Ari is going to do the honor and continue to represent ladies in the music industry this way.

This year's Coachella will see some awesome female acts besides Ariana as well, such as Janelle Monáe, Kacey Musgraves, Ella Mai, Clairo, and more.

We're proud of Ariana for this big achievement, and can't wait to live stream her performances.
