Ariana Grande Dishes on What it Was Like to Work With Kris Jenner for 'Thank U, Next' Video

When news broke that a Kardashian-Jenner family member would be in Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next music video, some fans jumped right to Kris Jenner. While we could see any sister being the perfect cameo for the music video, it's clear Kris was practically born to play the role of Regina George’s mom.

Kris recreated Amy Poehler’s classic scene of filming The Plastics, who are performing a sexy dance routine to the Jingle Bell Rock in the school auditorium. Of course, in the music video, the girls are dancing to Thank U, Next. Kris closes out the video perfectly, shouting “Thank you, next, b***h!”

We all know Kris really made the video, but how did Ariana feel about working with the famous momager? According to Ari herself, she loved working with her and even hopes that Kris and her mom become best friends.

Hannah Lux Davis, the Thank U, Next director, revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that Ariana was the driving force behind Kris Jenner’s cameo in the record-breaking music video.

"She is obviously the cool mom, right? Everyone knows here. She's the ultimate cool mom," Davis said of Jenner. "When you're Ariana Grande, you can get just about anybody... I actually don't know [how she reached out to get Jenner in the video]."

"We were talking about cameos. We were like, 'Oh my god, we have to get Kris Jenner!'" Davis recounted. "She was the one really steering that."

Davis also noted that Kris was a pleasure to have on set, calling her a “pro.”

"She knows what she's doing. She was fearless," she said. "She knew that this role was fun, and you can't take yourself too seriously... she got right into the role real fast." It definitely paid off.
