Aquaman has been an a major hit with fans and critics, with many praising the adventurous and CGI-packed entertainment in the movie.

The movie has also been extremely successful at the box office. In fact, its $748.8 million worldwide performance in just its second weekend already surpasses the $657.9 million brought in by Justice League.

Justice League was not the only major DCEU film to fall to Aquaman, as it has also surpassed Suicide Squad and Man of Steel at the worldwide box office.

Fans of the King of Seven Seas are taking note of the significant accomplishment.

It is just a matter of time before an Aquaman sequel is officially announced. And while there's no guarantee director James Wan will be involved in the sequel, it's likely that future Aquaman films can be a major success for the DCEU after a few years of blunders.
