Avengers: Endgame is a global sensation, being hailed with critical acclaim and becoming the highest grossing film of all time. Still, however, there are some who have not seen the film--even people who are in it, as evidenced recently when actress Angela Bassett revealed that she had not yet seen it.

Bassett, who plays T’Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) mother, Queen Ramonda, admitted to EW Live on SiriusXM (via ComicBook.com) that she had not seen the film due to its length. “It’s three hours long, right?” she said. “I haven’t seen it. Wait a minute, it is going to be on the plane. Oh, my God, carve out three hours?”

She did add, however, that her teenage children have seen the film multiple times. “They’ve seen it twice,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Y’all have fun. I’m just gonna relax and chill at home, thanks. Tell me all about it.’”

Bassett first debuted in 2018’s Black Panther, directed by Ryan Coogler, and received positive reviews for her portrayal. She took a smaller role in Avengers: Endgame, following the deaths of T’Challa and Shuri (Letitia Wright) in Infinity War, but shared a tender scene with them after they returned to life.

Although we’re shocked that Bassett hasn’t seen a film that she herself is in, we’re glad that she’s getting the gist of it--and we can understand having to take a break for such a hefty film as Endgame.
