Andrew Garfield will portray billionaire Richard Branson in 'Hot Air'

British heartthrob and former Amazing Spider-Man actor, Andrew Garfield, will reportedly portray billionaire Richard Branson in an upcoming bio miniseries, titled; Hot Air, which exposes the Virgin Atlantic's rise to fame.

Written by Jon Croker (Paddington 2), the six-part miniseries is based on the book Dirty Tricks by award-winning investigative journalist Martyn Gregory. It tells the story of billionaire Branson and the fascinating, outrageous rise of Virgin Airways. According to reports, the six-part series is currently being shopped around to a number of streaming services.

Dirty Tricks, the book by investigative journalist Martyn Gregory, focuses on the battle between Branson’s Virgin Airways and British Airways, in which Branson was awarded over £3.5million after suing BA for planting negative stories about Virgin in the press in a move dubbed ‘Operation Barbara’

The tick, tick, ... BOOM! actor, who landed his first Emmy nomination for FX limited series Under the Banner of Heaven, is set to star in the miniseries, and is also singed on as Executive Producer.
