An Egg Officially Dethrones Kylie Jenner as the Most-Liked Photo on Instagram

On Sunday, a photo of an egg shockingly surpassed a photo from Kylie Jenner as the most-liked post on Instagram.

How did this happen, you ask? Well, the new champion post comes from an account named @world_record_egg, which has only the one photo. The photo of the egg is accompanied by a caption that states its main purpose is to dethrone Kylie Jenner’s post as the most-liked on Instagram.

"Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this," the post's caption hilariously reads.

The egg photo now has over 29 million likes, beating Kylie's post, which has over 18 million, by over 10 million likes.

According to Buzzfeed, the account is being run Henrietta, a chicken from the British countryside with a big dream. The site conducted an email interview with Henrietta, from which we received some interesting details.

"Eugene is my egg," Henrietta said. In regards to beating Kylie Jenner, the challenge was not a personal attack against the celeb, but a mere game. Henrietta decided to start the account after she "read an article regarding the top 20 posts on Insta," which revealed "Kylie Jenner topped it with 18m."

A picture of Kylie and Travis Scott’s daughter clutching onto her mom’s thumb was previously the most-liked picture on the social media platform. The post was not only the first picture of Stormi that Kylie shared with her fans, but also the post in which she announced the name of her newborn daughter.
