Amber Portwood's Brother Shawn Breaks Silence on Those Alarming Audio Leaks

It's been quite the summer for Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood. And no, certainly not in a good way.

Fans will know that things started going downhill for the mom-of-two when she was arrested for domestic battery this past July, after she allegedly threatened her then-boyfriend Andrew Glennon with a machete. And this was all while Andrew was holding their one-year-old son, James. Fast forward a few months, and things have gone from bad to worse for Amber.

Last week, audio was leaked to Katie Joy of the Without a Crystal Ball vlog on YouTube, in which Amber can be heard threatening to stab Andrew and calling him a handful of offensive names. Since, more and more audio clips have been surfacing.

Amber's Teen Mom OG co-stars have spoken out on the disturbing audio, and now her brother, Shawn, is weighing in. As reported by The Ashley, Shawn has tweeted out a series of messages in defense of his sister, even putting the blame on Andrew.

"Andrew did call me sometimes when they would argue but never mentioned anything of what’s being mentioned now,” Shawn tweeted. “He always told me it was a bad argument. And do you know what I did? I reached out to people but never got a response. The next day everything was fine according to him."

Andrew then responded to Shawn's claims via The Ashley's Instagram account, in part writing, "The moment you stop covering for your sister and enabling her atrocious behavior towards my son and I, will be the moment you actually show you love her and want to help her get better."

For Shawn's part, he's continued to show support for Amber on Twitter.

This is a huge mess, to say the very least, but all we can do is hope that Amber is able to get the help she needs.
