Amber Portwood is in a rough patch, but she may not have lost it all.

After the Teen Mom OG star's arrest on July 5, for which she was reportedly charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor for attacking her boyfriend Andrew Glennon with a machete, she was served a no contact order for Glennon and their one-year-old son, James.

Glennon also filed for sole custody of James, but an Us Weekly insider says that it is only for “protective measures.”

The source also claimed that things might not be over between the two. The Teen Mom OG star is suffering from bipolar disorder and depression, and has had run-ins with the law in the past, but it seems that the event that happened between the couple last week didn’t come out of nowhere.

“There were things going on between her and Andrew that led to this,” the insider said, adding, “Amber and Andrew still really care about each other and this is not the end of their relationship.”

Fans can only hope that Glennon and Portwood can find a way to work through their differences, for their relationship, and for the sake of their family.
