Alex Rodriguez Clarifies His Met Gala 'Rich' Story After Kylie Jenner Claps Back

In case you missed it, Sports Illustrated published an interview with Alex Rodriguez this week, which included a part where he spoke about his experience at this year's Met Gala. According to the athlete, his table included Kylie and Kendall Jenner, claiming that the makeup mogul got a bit braggy. His words were:

"We had a great table. The black guy from The Wire--Idris Elba, yeah, and his new wife. Some famous singer next to me, I don’t know what her name is. Versace—Donatella. We had Kylie and Kendall. And we had an Asian gentleman from [Crazy] Rich Asians, the lead. Kylie was talking about Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is."

Kylie wasn't having it, and tweeted soon after the news hit: “Umm no i didn’t. We only spoke about Game of Thrones."

According to Us Weekly, Rodriguez then backtracked with the response: “OMG that’s right @KylieJenner!! It was me talking about you and your makeup line and how much my girls love you. #GOT #respect #alllove.”

Fans are trying to figure out if the former New York Yankees player is being sarcastic or genuinely misspoke in his interview. It is a pretty reasonable question. Like, huh? One minute Kylie's bragging about her wealth and the next, he's telling her how much his daughters love her. Make up your mind, A-Rod!

Does this mean the friendship is over between the Kardashian-Jenners and Rodriguez and Lopez? Hopefully not, but the whole thing feels a bit awkward and confusing.
