Aidan Gillen Responds to 'Game of Thrones' Theory Littlefinger Will Be Back for Season 8

Game of Thrones actor Aidan Gillen has commented on a popular fan theory surrounding the fate of his character, Littlefinger, on the final season of the show.

The theory argues that Littlefinger survived having his throat slit by Arya Stark, as the person she actually killed was one of the Faceless Men, not Petyr Baelish at all.

While there is a case to back up the theory, Gillen has just come out and said there is no chance that Littlefinger will be showing up again in the show's final season.

“I’ve heard a lot of that recently, but no,” the actor told Metro. “What can you say other than no? To kind of utilise that as I might be able to would be a lie. I’d had enough of that guy. I loved doing it but when it’s done, it’s done.”

Gillen is not the only one to give away secrets about the newest season. Kit Harington might've just spilled a major detail about his character's role in the upcoming season, and Sansa Stark actress Sophie Turner revealed the ending of the show to a couple of her close friends--including her fiancé, Joe Jonas.

Regardless of whether or not you believe Gillen is really telling the truth here, we're all eager to see what goes down in the final season of GoT, returning on April 14.
