Maisie Williams is best known for her role as Arya Stark on popular HBO show, Game of Thrones. Now she will be known as Maisie Williams, creator of the app Daisie.

Daisie is another form of social media, but according to Williams, will have different components to it to similar to Twitter and Instagram. The app will link young people in the entertainment industry with those who can help with their career. In a way it’s like LinkedIn, but leaning towards the entertainment industry. The app is set to launch sometime in August.

The actress revealed one big difference her app will offer compared to other social media platforms: Followers. Daisie will not show how many followers you gain!

"In the playground and on social media we have a real popularity contest,” she explained, adding, “With Daisie, the way in which your profile will grow is very different. It’s about a “chain” that you make. To make a chain you work with other people on the app, you create projects together, and then you have a mutual link.”

“The more chains you make, the bigger your profile becomes, so it takes it away from lots of people following one person," she continued.

Williams hopes this app will encourage other young women to achieve their highest potential. The actress began her career in Game of Thrones when she was only 11 years old, and since has become a major success.

From her own experience, she wants to help other young actors who wish to be on the screen.
