Attention horror fans: This might just be your new favorite show, although we don't have too many details just yet!

Bloody Disgusting has talked to the original Child's Play writer Chris Mancini on all things Chucky and the future of the franchise. Besides talking about his crazy WWll idea for our favorite doll, he also revealed a TV series is in the works!

Mancini says he's working with long-time series producer David Kirschner to create the series, with star Brad Dourif already on board to voice the iconic Chucky.

The eight-part series is set to look back to Chucky's "darker roots," from before the films took a comedic route. Kirschner has also said the series will be a continuation of the movies' voodoo doll cosmology, not a reboot.

Mancini has worked on other horror TV shows recently, such as on episodes of NBC's Hannibal and Syfy’s Channel Zero. We're sure with his knowledge of TV and literally everything Chucky, this series will be epic.

No other details are known at this time such as a network or release date. But stay tuned!
