Amid several rape and sexual harassment allegations, Russell Simmons has reportedly left the country and gone to a yoga retreat in Bali. The retreat, called The Yoga Barn, is located in Upud, known for its stunning scenery and variety of mental and physical healthy living.
A source also told Page Six, “Russell is focusing on yoga and meditation, as well as his spiritual and emotional health. He has also been seen wearing robes and walking the streets and markets of Ubud, the yoga town in the jungle.” Simmons is also apparently thinking about writing a book.
But there is one glaring gap as Simmons apparently walks around the highlands in robes and meditates: What about those scandals?
There’s no word from Simmons, who vehemently denied the allegations back in a statement in December, saying: “I have re-dedicated myself to spiritual learning, healing and working on behalf of the communities to which I have devoted my life … What I will not accept is responsibility for what I have not done. I have conducted my life with a message of peace and love.”
Strange to think how he chose The Yoga Barn, which has an extremely strict anti-sexual harassment policy. Representatives for Simmons have not commented.
