As if comic and Harry Potter conventions could get any better, Denver went and did this.
On Monday, Jan. 22, the Denver Comic Con Facebook page announced two big HP characters would be attending the event.
Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley, and Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom, will both be at the event this year, taking place June 15-17.
The official Instagram account shared this photo, writing,
"Only a true Gryffindor can pull the sword from the hat, and it made our hearts sing when Neville Longbottom did just that and heroically stood up to Voldemort. We are thrilled to announce that Matthew Lewis will join us for DCC ’18! Since the conclusion of the final film, Harry Potter™ and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, he has starred in Athale’s Wasteland and was in the recent film adaptation of Me Before You."
Tickets are available at denvercomiccon.com/tickets, so don't miss out on your chance to meet these two stars!
The account also shared this photo, writing,
"Ginny Weasley defines strength and beauty, and it’s easy to see how she captured the heart of Harry Potter. We welcome actor and director Bonnie Wright to DCC ’18! From 2001 to 2011, she played Ginny Weasley in all eight films in the Harry Potter series. Subsequent acting roles include The Sea, After the Dark and most recently,The Highway is for Gamblers."
The event will be taking place at the Colorado Convention Center, so even if you don't live too close, this area has a lot of fun things to do vacation wise.
Why not take the trip?
