Although many people are dog people, there are different types of dogs you could prefer. For instance, small dog people are vastly different than big dog people, as depending on the size, dog breeds can be extremely different. For those of you who love big dogs, there are a ton out there. Here are six of the largest, according to MotherNatureNetwork.

6. Dogue de Bordeaux

The Dogue de Bordeaux, which is also called the Bordeaux mastiff, French mastiff and Bordeauxdog, is pretty massive. They can grow to be 27 inches tall and weigh up to 150 pounds.

5. Newfoundland

The Newfoundland is a muscular breed that were originally meant to help out fishermen. They can grow to be 30 inches tall, and weigh as much as 150 pounds.

4. English Mastiff

Holding the title for the heaviest dog, English Mastiffs can weigh as much as 250 pounds! They can also grow to be 30 inches tall.

3. Neapolitan Mastiff

​The Neapolitan Mastiff, which you might recognize from the Harry Potter series, were bred to be guard dogs. They can grow to be 31 inches tall and weigh up to 155 pounds.

2. Scottish Deerhound

​Although the Scottish Deerhound look very skinny, they are extremely tall. The average dog can grow to be 32 inches, and weigh 110 pounds.

1. Great Dane

And of course, the Great Dane takes the number one spot. These ​enormous dogs average at 30 inches tall and 120 pounds, but many are much taller. The tallest Great Dane in history stood at 44 inches tall, but unfortunately only lived for five years.
