With Sony's Venom due out in just weeks, the last bits of information fans were waiting for included the official rating, and how long the runtime is. Both answers are here, and although we're a little disappointed, we can't say we're surprised.

It's been confirmed the Marvel anti-hero film is rated PG-13, and it's one hour and 52 minutes. It's not a shocking revelation, however many of us were definitely hoping for an R rating.

Fans were pretty certain Venom would hold a PG-13 rating, as if it was rated R, it probably would've been revealed through the film's promotion at the very latest, something Deadpool did during production.

Another obvious reason for Venom to not have an R rating is to make it kid-friendly, something the recent Marvel films definitely are. The logistics are there, we just really would've loved something darker from this film!

In any case, the runtime is extremely normal, and we're happy it's not too short or too long. Just under two hours is pretty much perfect.

Venom hits theaters on Oct. 5, and we cannot wait to see how Tom Hardy and Sony pull through. This better be good!
