Reshoots for Avengers 4 are well underway and an Instagram story from Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula, has fans freaking out over a (potential) major confrontation in the film.
Gillan's Instagram story was a screenshot of early-morning alarms with the caption, "You know what this means...Nebula has some unfinished business with Daddio. Reshoots!"
In the Infinity Gauntlet comic, Nebula played a major part in reversing the effects of Thanos' snap. According to MCU Cosmic, at the point of the snapping, Nebula had been burned by Thanos (which could explain her cyborg body that we see in current Marvel films). After Thanos' snapping, he's so distracted that Nebula takes the gauntlet form him and restores her body.
If the original comic is any indication to what we can expect from Avengers 4, the fact that Nebula was one of the people who survived Thanos' snapping at the end of Avengers: Infinity War means she'll probably be a key factor in the new film. Also, since she's doing reshoots with "Daddio" a.k.a. Thanos to handle some "unfinished business," maybe Marvel is trying to make some ties to the comic after all.
Avengers 4 is set to hit theaters May 2019.
