Over the past few days, the internet has basically erupted, as comments Kendall Jenner made about modeling were posted on Love Magazine's Instagram page.

While speaking to the publication, the 22-year-old star opened up on how anxiety has forced her to be "selective" with the amount of runway jobs she takes on, as she explained she "was on the verge of a mental breakdown." Kendall has always been very open about her struggle with mental health before, so her comments made sense to her fans.

However, they were totally misunderstood by fellow models, who thought she was insulting them for having to take on many jobs. “Never been so indirectly and publicly offended in my whole entire life … to be called a supermodel how easy it comes to you," Irina Djuranovic wrote online, while Jac Jagaciak added, “This makes me so angry… So disrespectful to literally 99% of people in the industry – yes they had to work their way up. Please get in touch with the real world!”

Clearly, her words did not translate well, and she is fully aware. Kendall has since taken to social media to clarify her intended meaning.

Being sure to make clear she has "immeasurable" respect for her fellow models, Kendall said she was trying to be "complimentary" with her comments.

Kendall continued, acknowledging all of the hard work that goes into the career.

She also stressed how inspired she is by her peers in the modeling world, and that she could never hate on them.

Being as famous as Kendall is, she's definitely no stranger to backlash. We're sure she'll get over this soon, and hopefully so do those offended. It was definitely just a misunderstanding.
